Goals 2018! 1/2/2018

Goals, goals, goals. We all have them, but do we actually stick with them? I know I definitely don’t. I’ll start a list, but either won’t complete it or won’t do it. I have a to-do list from New Year’s weekend that I’m still working on! I’ve got most of it done. I just need to finish it. Enough chit-chat. Let’s to the reason you clicked on this post!

My Goals!

I’m going to do this bullet point style.

  • To Be Healthier
This is kind of overused by a lot of people, and most of them stick with it! My husband and I will eat a few salads a year. You read that right. A few salads a year! There’s a post on Pinterest that’s all about how to eat a salad every day and like it. Of course, I’ve pinned it, but I haven’t opened it yet to read the actual post. But, I really mean it this year. I want to be healthier. I want to work out more or do yoga. I want to eat more salads and healthier foods. I wanna try a Gluten Free diet (I haven’t been diagnosed, but I’ve looked up symptoms, and I do in fact have some. So, if you know me, don’t come at me.)
  • To Be A Better Housewife
Everyone that knows me knows that I’m terrible at housework. Like, I mean terrible. The to-do list I mentioned above, I’ve been working on that list for 3 days. 3 DAYS! My living and dining rooms are a wreak from Christmas. STILL! My daughter has too many toys that I need to go through and pack up in storage, there’s Christmas stuff still up. A complete mess. SO! My goal for this year is to keep up with housework!… by being a better housewife..
  • To Be A Better Mommy
Everyone I know tells me that I’m a good mommy. I just want to be an even better one! I can’t really say much about this goal.
  • Start Using My Planner More
I have a planner that I just opened this morning, and it made me want to use it even more. To keep track of appointments, grocery shopping days, budget talk days, just everything in general.
(These goals are getting shorter and shorter.)
  • Post More
Now this one applies to this blog, my Snapchat Stories, my Instagram Stories, my Tumblr. Don’t know what else to say for this one, ha ha!
  • Routines
I want to make and stick with routines as much as possible this year. I love routines. I love watching routine videos on YouTube maybe just a little bit more. I read somewhere that people with anxiety need to have routines, and stick with them. My husband I have our own little routine in the morning up until he leaves for work, and we stick with it!… most of the time. I was watching a YouTube video about routines, and the girl said that while you’re doing your routine, it’s probably a good idea to write down what you’re doing and the time that you’re doing it so that the next morning, you can do what you’ve got written down at the time you need to do it.

That’s all that I have for today! Thanks for reading! Come back for more posts! I’m sure as the year goes on, I’ll get better at this blogging thing! 🙂

Hello, February!

I cannot believe it’s February already! Where did January go? It’s only the second month of 2017, and it already feels like this year has flown by. Before I know, my daughter is going to be 1!

Let’s list off some things that are going to be happening this month, shall we.

  • My husband and I will together as couple for 7 years.
  • Valentine’s Day.
  • My daughter has her weight check up.
  • My daughter also turns three months old.
  • My birthday.
  • My nieces 1st birthday.

Let’s go into a little bit more detail. Why? Because I want to.

7 YEAR DATING ANNIVERSARY.
My husband and I started dating during last part of his Senior Year and my Junior Year of high school. We were the best of friends beforehand. I guess you could say we were so close, he was like my brother. Everyone in band dated someone who was like their brother or sister. We were just that close. I honestly thought that I would never date him, or think about liking him like that, but I did.

VALENTINE’S DAY.
Now, some people dislike this day, and I kind of do, as well. I mean, why is there a day dedicated to showing the person you love affection when you should show it every day? I’m lucky enough to have a husband who shows me affection whether it’s hugging me, giving me a kiss, doing something I love. He doesn’t have to buy my affection. The only expensive thing that he’s given me was my engagement ring; I won’t say how much it was. If your significant other buys your affection, but all means, enjoy it. It’s just not how my husband and I roll. Other might, but we don’t. Not saying that’s bad or anything, so please don’t take this the wrong way! It’s not my intention.

I’LL HAVE A 3 MONTH OLD!
I still can’t believe that I made a human, who is getting fussy right about now to either be held or wants her pacifier, ha. She’s getting so big! I can’t believe it. She was 6 lbs. 14 oz. when she was born, and now she’s 7 lbs. 5 oz.! That’s a big improvement for her according to her doctor, my husband and I. She’s gaining weight slowly, but my husband and I keep saying it’s because of her cleft lip and palate. She has to work a little harder at eating her bottles than babies born without the clefts.

MY BIRTHDAY…
My dad was right. I’m getting less excited about my birthday each year. I’ll wake up all happy, and early on my birthday, then as the day goes on, I start thinking, “Why is it special? It’s just a regular day to everyone else.” I’m turning 24 this year, and I can’t think of anything to do. I’ve done the same thing since I was 16. Bowling and eating afterwards, if not before. I’m not sure on what to do this year. Invite people to eat? But where? The main place that I always go to for my birthday is Longhorn Steakhouse, and that’s only because my mom would take me there. I think I still want to go there to keep that part of her alive. We’ll see.

MY NIECES FIRST BIRTHDAY.
I just saw this niece today. She’s my youngest niece. I used to watch her all the time before we moved. Her birthday is just two days after mine. I will always say that she was the best birthday present I’ve ever gotten… even if it was two days later. I love all my nieces and nephews, don’t get me wrong. They’re blessings like no other!

Wow. This is a short post! I want to take the time out and say if you’re reading, thank you for taking time out of your day to read my posts. I’m going to be quite honest; I’m not one for reading or writing, but I enjoy writing for this blog. I guess I got bored one day and thought that blogging would cure than boredom, and it did! I’ve had multiple blogs since then, but this one I’ve stuck with. So, again. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this, and exploring my blog!
