Blogtober is here!

It’s Fall. It’s the first day of October, which means it’s Blogtober.

I attempted this last year, and it really didn’t so great. I’m hoping this year, I’ll be better at it.

What this means, is that I’ll be posting every day, every other day, or once a week.

The problem last year was I ran out of stuff to write about, and I didn’t wanna use other ideas that I had written down because I didn’t want to use them and not be able to give credit to the person I wrote the ideas down from. Anxiety issues, haha.

Anyways, get ready for a months, or almost a months, worth of posts from me! 🙂

Skin Care!

As I’m sitting here watching the Season 3 finale episode of Downton Abbey on Amazon, I have an anti stress mask on my face; feeling it getting tighter every second on my skin. I thought to myself that I would update you all on my skin care routine, or as I like to call it, half of my Self Care routine, which I’ll make another post for that later. (I started writing this post about a week ago, haha!)

So, let’s get this ball rolling!

Morning/Day Routine

I always wash my face in the shower. I feel it’s more convenient, and makes my skin care go by quicker.

I use two washes, both St. Ives; the blackhead scrub and the apricot scrub.

The blackhead scrub smells amazing! It controls the redness in my face after I’ve showered. I’m still wondering why my face is always red after showering. This scrub is mild and doesn’t exfoliate deep.

The apricot scrub is a more heavier scrub. It exfoliates more than the blackhead scrub, and also smells amazing.

After I rinse my face, and hop out of the shower, I put on the Simple moisturizer. I’ve this stuff for forever, so I had to get a new one. I’ll update on the new moisturizer once I use it for a while.

Night Routine

My night routine is pretty simple. All I use is the Clean & Clear night time face wash with the same moisturizer.

Taking off the makeup

When I take off my makeup, I’ll use makeup remover wipes. Sometimes I’ll use the simple micellar water, but I got new one of that, too; I’ll update when I use that one for a while, as well.

Successful Job!

Would you rather be seuccessful at a job you love or famous for a job that you don’t really enjoy?

I would rather want to be successful at a job that I love because I would want to be able to walk into work with a smile on my face because I know that I’ve started from the bottom of the job totem pole and worked my way up the ladder. I wouldn’t want to be famous for a job I didn’t enjoy because what’s the point in going to a job that I dread waking up for in the morning?

When I was little, I wanted to be the next Britney Spears. I loved singing, and dancing, and I still do, but the harsh reality is I can’t be what I wanted to be as a child because I’m an adult now. I’m doing adult things, and living in that fantasy just isn’t for me anymore.

Being successful is one thing that I strive to be. Whether it be successful at being a housewife, or a stay at home mom, whatever. If I can make my husband and daughter smile at the end of the day because I’ve done things that I find successful at the end of the day, that’s all that matters to me.

I’ve been told since my teen years that I wasn’t going to be successful if I didn’t do anything, if I didn’t get a job, or go to college, or whatever, but to me, I have been successful. I’m a wife, I’m about to be a mom, I keep my home clean, I put a warm meal in my husbands stomach. To me, that’s so much more successful than going to college, or getting a job that I really didn’t want. I’d rather be a couch potato and do things around the house and check them off my to-do list, and find that successful than the points made the sentence before this one.

Being successful and doing successful things are what YOU think they are, not what everyone else says they are. That’s what it is to me. Having anxiety, and being pregnant, for me just getting up out of bed is successful. Tomorrow morning, I plan on making breakfast for my husband and I, and I’m going to find that successful, even though I do it basically every morning because it’s something that I enjoy.

My job title at the moment is wife, and soon to be mommy. Doing things for my husband and making sure that I’m eating so my daughter can continue to develop properly are the two most successful things that I enjoy doing. God has a plan for my life, and I do believe this is part of that plan.

I’m going to go ahead and stop the post here for now, or else you’d be here reading a book because I have so much to say about this subject.

Be sure to look out for my next post, coming at you tomorrow morning or evening.

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
