What is one thing we all do every single day? EAT. Food. Don’t you just love food? I sure do. I swear I still have the appetite of a teenager, and could eat everything in sight. Keyword: could. For today’s post, I’m going to be talking about What I Eat In A Day.
I see this all the time on YouTube, and it got me thinking… should I make a post about this?
Well, here you are! Reading this to find out what I eat in a day. It changes depending on what’s going on that day, so I’m just going to focus on what I eat when I’m home.
So, let’s get started!
It’s starting to be one of my favorite meals… only because it’s ONE of the first things I think about once waking up to the sounds of my daughter making noises. We actually eat breakfast if the time allows us. “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” I know, BUT when you have an 8 month old and you need to grocery shop, or you’ve just woken up late, breakfast isn’t on the menu. BUT HERE LATELY, it has been.
The very first thing we do, or I do whoever is out of bed first, is make coffee! If I’m up and out of the bed before my husband, I’ll make my coffee and prep his. All I do is pour the water into the back of our Mr. Coffee Single Serve Coffee K-Cup thing, put the K-Pod in it’s slot, and set a little note out that says “Just Hit Brew.”
Now, for the food portion of this varies. Sometimes we’ll have biscuits and gravy, he’ll have cereal and I’ll have toast, I’ll have grits, or we’ll both have toast. Just depends on the day really. Daughter always has bananas and a bottle. I’m not an egg person anymore for breakfast, so we don’t eat eggs in the morning. The only way I’ll eat eggs is in cookies and cakes… or French Toast…. I’m weird. ON TO LUNCH!
Lunch also varies with us. Some days we’ll eat Whataburger (my favorite), or we’ll have a PubSub, or sometimes we won’t even eat lunch. Just depends on what’s going on that mid-morning to early afternoon. Hubby leaves for work at 12:30 – 12:45, so we have to eat lunch pretty early, I would say.
If I have to eat lunch without him, it’s normally one of the two mentioned above, or I’ll have leftovers. Maybe some pizza rolls… or chips and dips like it has been lately. Daughter has sweet potatoes and a bottle. She sometimes doesn’t eat all of the potatoes (or taters as I like to call them), so I’ll put them in the fridge and she’ll have it for lunch the next day.
Now, for dinner. It’s literally the same thing every night. I always have the Tyson Honey Battered Chicken Tenders with honey mustard to dip. Always. Hands down. It’s filling. Not the healthiest option; well, none these are the healthiest option, but it’s quick and easy. 450 for 10 mins. Boom! Dinner is served! Not sure what hubby has.. he tends to take stuff to work, and it’s normally two pb&j sandwiches; one for lunch, and one for dinner. Daughter always has a bottle. I tend to not put a lot in her tummy before bed (which is at 8:30), so all she’ll have is the bottle. 8oz for all the three meals.
My snacks tend to vary. Sometimes I’ll have some coconut milk ice cream, and some days I’ll a couple cookies, some days chips and dip. Just depends on what we have.
As mentioned in the breakfast area, I always have coffee. I cannot function without coffee. I’ve tried to drink green tea for breakfast, and even water, but it just doesn’t work out. I always get headaches and I’m grouchy. My husband can vouch for me on that one. But, throughout the day, I always have water.. unless we go to Whataburger, then I have their sweet tea. If I’m in the mood, I’ll have some green tea, but it’s not always. Like today, right now, 8/9/2017 at 2:15pm, I’m having a craving for some green tea now that I’m talking and thinking about it, haha!
