I think it’s about time that I have a couple reviews on this here blog. The past three months, I’ve been subscribed to the makeup subscription service, Ipsy. I absolutely love it! I’ve gotten products that I’ve heard nothing but good things about. Let’s just go ahead and get started!

Disclaimer: All reviews and opinions are my own. This post is not sponsored in any way. I love the service so much, I just wanted to write a few reviews on my bags so far.

Let’s start with July.

This was my first bag, and I loved it! It came with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, EYEKO Liquid Eyeliner Pen, Nomad Cosmetics Highlighter, So Susan Blending Brush, and Hanalei Rose Lip Treatment.

The mascara is amazing! I’ve heard nothing but good and wonderful things about this mascara on YouTube from my favorite beauty vloggers. It separates my lashes, and make them flirty… which is what it claims to do, and it does just that! Every time I wear makeup, which is when we’re going out to dinner, a movie, or just hanging with friends or family. I think if I want to splurge on a makeup item, this one is definitely going to be it.

Now, the eyeliner. I’ve only used it once, but y’all. This eyeliner is everything to me! The night I opened this product, I freaked out! In a good way. I’ve always wanted to do a wing liner, and I’ve achieved it in the past, but only about two times. With this eyeliner, the tip lets me achieve the wing that I want. It’s almost like drawing with a Sharpie. Think of that tip.

Highlighter. It’s becoming one of my favorite makeup item. It lets me know that I’m done or almost done with my makeup, and what a good feeling that is, am I right, ladies?! Anyway, the shade of this highlighter is almost the same as my skin when applied.  I love it. (I’m started to get distracted my Downton Abbey, so my train of thoughts are going away. My details and descriptions are getting very short.)

Brushes. I’m starting to love brushes, but cleaning them is a whole other ball game. This brush is so soft, and I even continue describing it. That’s how amazing it is. I actually use this brush to apply my highlighter.

Lip treatments. I don’t ever do lip treatment unless it’s good ol’ chapstick. But the moment I put this product on my lips, the were instantly soft! Normally, I’d have to apply my Burt’s Bees lip balm twice to achieve the softness I like for my lips.

Now that we’re done with July…

Let’s go on to August!

The products for last months Glambag was a contour brush, blush duo, HD translucent powder, a tube of mascara, and a face lotion.

The brush. I haven’t used it yet, but I’m probably going to see how it applies foundation, and blush. It’s soft, I’ll give it that. Like I said, I haven’t used it yet, so I can’t give a true review on it… yet.

The blush duo. I haven’t really used these either. I might have, but I don’t really remember. To be honest, August was a bit of a blur for me. My daughter had her first out of 2 surgeries, so everything is little hazy. This months reviews aren’t going to be good, so please forgive me.

The powder. If I recall, I used this for baking my under eyes, and I didn’t see a difference. I don’t see a big difference when baking, to be completely honest. Maybe I’m not doing it right.. Practice makes perfect, right?!

The mascara isn’t my favorite for this month. I used it, and my lashes immediately clumped. I did my regular mascara applying technique, and it didn’t do my lashes justice. I had to apply my Too Faced mascara, and my lashes separated a little, but not much. I probably won’t use this product again.

Last, but not least, the face lotion. This stuff smells amazing! It smells like I’ve been at the beach. #beachvibes. It makes my face soft after washing and exfoliating.

September’s Glam bag!

I’m gonna talk about the bag for a second. It’s black, and so chique and elegant looking. I think I just found my new makeup bag, ha ha! Now, for the products. It came with an angled brush, a duo blush, a foundation primer, a nail polish, and a face mask.

This brush, like the two before it, is soft. I tested it on my eyelid with no product, and it’s so soft.

The blush duo. I think I like this one better than the last. I just swatched it, and they’re gorgeous! They actually may work better as a highlighter or a eye shadow because they’re shimmery.

The foundation primer, is a Smashbox Cosmetics product. It’s their Photo Finish Radiance Primer. It, too, has some shimmer to it. Mixes with my skin tone very well. I’ll definitely be giving this a try within the next couple days.

The nail polish. I actually have a coat on my left thumb right now. It’s a pretty mauve color. I think it’ll be perfect for this fall.

I’m starting to love face masks. This one smells good. I’ll be using it within the next few days.

Be on the lookout for an update on a lot of these products!

What I Eat In A Day!… Sort of.

What is one thing we all do every single day? EAT. Food. Don’t you just love food? I sure do. I swear I still have the appetite of a teenager, and could eat everything in sight. Keyword: could. For today’s post, I’m going to be talking about What I Eat In A Day.

I see this all the time on YouTube, and it got me thinking… should I make a post about this?
Well, here you are! Reading this to find out what I eat in a day. It changes depending on what’s going on that day, so I’m just going to focus on what I eat when I’m home.
So, let’s get started!

It’s starting to be one of my favorite meals… only because it’s ONE of the first things I think about once waking up to the sounds of my daughter making noises. We actually eat breakfast if the time allows us. “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” I know, BUT when you have an 8 month old and you need to grocery shop, or you’ve just woken up late, breakfast isn’t on the menu. BUT HERE LATELY, it has been.
The very first thing we do, or I do whoever is out of bed first, is make coffee! If I’m up and out of the bed before my husband, I’ll make my coffee and prep his. All I do is pour the water into the back of our Mr. Coffee Single Serve Coffee K-Cup thing, put the K-Pod in it’s slot, and set a little note out that says “Just Hit Brew.”
Now, for the food portion of this varies. Sometimes we’ll have biscuits and gravy, he’ll have cereal and I’ll have toast, I’ll have grits, or we’ll both have toast. Just depends on the day really. Daughter always has bananas and a bottle. I’m not an egg person anymore for breakfast, so we don’t eat eggs in the morning. The only way I’ll eat eggs is in cookies and cakes… or French Toast…. I’m weird. ON TO LUNCH!

Lunch also varies with us. Some days we’ll eat Whataburger (my favorite), or we’ll have a PubSub, or sometimes we won’t even eat lunch. Just depends on what’s going on that mid-morning to early afternoon. Hubby leaves for work at 12:30 – 12:45, so we have to eat lunch pretty early, I would say.
If I have to eat lunch without him, it’s normally one of the two mentioned above, or I’ll have leftovers. Maybe some pizza rolls… or chips and dips like it has been lately. Daughter has sweet potatoes and a bottle. She sometimes doesn’t eat all of the potatoes (or taters as I like to call them), so I’ll put them in the fridge and she’ll have it for lunch the next day.

Now, for dinner. It’s literally the same thing every night. I always have the Tyson Honey Battered Chicken Tenders with honey mustard to dip. Always. Hands down. It’s filling. Not the healthiest option; well, none these are the healthiest option, but it’s quick and easy. 450 for 10 mins. Boom! Dinner is served! Not sure what hubby has.. he tends to take stuff to work, and it’s normally two pb&j sandwiches; one for lunch, and one for dinner. Daughter always has a bottle. I tend to not put a lot in her tummy before bed (which is at 8:30), so all she’ll have is the bottle. 8oz for all the three meals.

My snacks tend to vary. Sometimes I’ll have some coconut milk ice cream, and some days I’ll a couple cookies, some days chips and dip. Just depends on what we have.

As mentioned in the breakfast area, I always have coffee. I cannot function without coffee. I’ve tried to drink green tea for breakfast, and even water, but it just doesn’t work out. I always get headaches and I’m grouchy. My husband can vouch for me on that one. But, throughout the day, I always have water.. unless we go to Whataburger, then I have their sweet tea. If I’m in the mood, I’ll have some green tea, but it’s not always. Like today, right now, 8/9/2017 at 2:15pm, I’m having a craving for some green tea now that I’m talking and thinking about it, haha!

Well, that’s it for this post! I hope y’all enjoyed reading this. Hubby and I have been talking about going healthy and working out, so hopefully within the next few weeks/months, you’ll been seeing an updated version of this post, but with more healthier foods mentioned.

Thanks for stopping by! <3

Grocery Shopping Setup

So, this is something new that I’m going to start trying every two to three weeks. That’s sitting down at my dining room table with pencil in hand and a notebook in front of me, and make a grocery list for the next two to three weeks. I’ve actually been wanting to do this, but I either forget or just don’t do it, and then get mad when my husband doesn’t answer me on what we need from the store, lol.

So, (I’m always starting my sentences out with so…. have you noticed that?) I actually have a “layout” of our grocery store of choice in front me, a small notebook with our grocery list on it, and a 5 subject notebook in front me as well with our Mastery List in it… actually that’s a lie. At the time of typing this, (I will leave this unedited so it’s more “raw”) I don’t have a Mastery List. All I have is two items on our shopping list, and about half of the store layout drawn on a piece of paper. Keep reading to see what we have on our Mastery List.

I’ve seen Mastery Lists everywhere on Pinterest, and I got to thinking to myself one night while scrolling is that we need one. Bad. All we do when we go to the store is just grab what we need, and we need end up forgetting what we need, or we miss an item or two. My husband is standing here watching me type as we speak. I normally do my blog posts on a Tuesday, and schedule them for a Wednesday, but NOT TODAY! Today ( at the time of typing ) is a Saturday.

Enough about that, let’s just go ahead and get into todays post!

So, how I’m going to start setting up for my grocery…. stuff is how I set up to blog when I’m sitting at my dining table, but I have, like I said in the beginning of this post, two notebooks, and a pencil. That’s it. I actually have our kind of sort of Mastery List as my actual grocery list. We go shopping every two weeks to every three weeks.

Next, I have my 5 subject notebook. I’ve had this notebook for a while, and I love it. I have blog post ideas, which is ironic because I have stuff written down, but I never know what to write about, haha! I also have recipes I find on Pinterest. Stuff for school, (I’ll get to that in a different post). I play around with Disney World prices all the time, so there’s a few pages in there, lol. The last that I have is health stuff. If I see something on Pinterest, I’ll write it down. If it’s something that’ll be totally beneficial to our health in that moment, I’ll write it down under the health tab or the recipe tab.

The little notebook with the purple pencil is my grocery list. The day you’re reading this (6/11/2017, which is the same day I posted this), we went shopping. I clean our freezer, and it’s empty, except for a bag of Steamfresh Corn, my husbands ice cream cones, 1 bar of Hershey’s chocolate, empty ice trays, and a cool pack thing that goes in your lunch box. That’s it! So, it’s empty, haha.

My coffee is just sitting there because I love coffee, and if I don’t have it I’ll get a headache and be cranky. I don’t drink it all, but I drink it enough to give me a little bit of energy, and to wake me up.

Now, I’m about to become a color coding fool! I just color coded our entire local grocery store, and I love it! I’ve had a packet of 8 different colors for about 3 or 4 years now. I barely used them, and they sat in storage for over a year. I decided to test them out ’cause I found them a couple of months ago. To my amazement, THEY STILL WORKED! They’re not dried out at all! So, I used them to color code our grocery list. They had to be used again, obviously, but at least I’ll know what’s what if we move in the order of the colors, haha!

For example:
Light Green = Aisle 1 (Produce, Sports Drinks, Juices, Deli Section) & Aisle 9 (Greeting Cards, Soft Drinks)
Purple = Aisle 3 (International Foods, Candy, Canned Meat, Soups) & Aisle 11 (Ice Cream, Frozen Desserts, Frozen Breakfast)
Red = Aisle 5 (Coffee/Tea, Cereals, Oatmeal, Grits)& Aisle 13 (Household Items [Cleaning & Laundry])

I’m going to fall in love with this system. I’ve read somewhere a few years ago that color coding would be the best thing that you would/could do. Boy, they were right! I’m going to use this system for house. Not sure what “zones” the colors are going to be, but I’ll keep you posted!

Anyway. Thanks for reading this post! Please bear with me while I figure out what else to write about. It’s getting harder and harder for me to come up with stuff. I’m wanting to write posts about what I see on Pinterest. Like, if I read a post about a cleaning routine, for example, I’m going to want to write about mine!, but I don’t want to seem like I’m coping that person, when in fact I’m not. Just inspired, I guess you could say.

Come back next week! I’m trying to upload on Wednesdays, so come Wednesday, a post should be uploaded!
